Margraf
Natural marble.
Over a century of expertise.
Supplied in the UK by PietraCasa.
An Italian marble company founded in 1906, operating ten quarries and producing over 400 marble and natural stone types for architecture, interiors and design worldwide.
Margraf was founded in 1906 in Chiampo, in the Venetian Pre-Alps. The company operates ten quarries and holds a warehouse of over 400 marble and natural stone types at its Italian headquarters.
The Margraf Innovation Lab develops bespoke collections and three-dimensional cladding systems. The Ipogeo finish celebrates the raw character of marble through deep surface treatment. The Fluctus collection produces three-dimensional wave-form wall cladding. The Frammenti collection, developed with designer Raffaello Galiotto at Marmomac 2024, combines robotic milling and manual processing to produce sculptural stone pieces that function as architectural elements.
Past projects include the restoration of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan and the Santa Lucia train station in Venice. The Fior di Pesco Carnico quarry marble was used by architect Cesar Pelli for the Winter Garden project in New York.
Designed for every surface
Kitchen
Margraf provides marble worktops, islands and surfaces in over 400 stone types in polished, honed, brushed and bespoke finishes. Large slab formats allow kitchen surfaces to be resolved from a single piece with continuous veining.
Furniture
Margraf supplies marble for table tops, shelving, cabinet surfaces and decorative objects. The Innovation Lab's robotic milling and three-dimensional processing extends what is possible in marble furniture beyond conventional slab applications.
Surfaces
Margraf has supplied stone for architectural facade cladding and public space projects worldwide. Ten quarries and a mechanised processing facility mean large architectural stone orders can be managed reliably to tight programme requirements.
Bathroom
From floor and wall cladding to vanity tops and shower trays, Margraf provides complete marble solutions for bathrooms. The Fluctus three-dimensional wall cladding collection brings a sculptural quality to bathroom surfaces.

Did you know?
Margraf is not simply a stone supplier. The company extracts, selects, processes and finishes marble with a depth of material knowledge that comes from over a century of practice at every stage of the process. Ten quarries give direct control over material quality from extraction. A warehouse of over 400 stone types gives access to a breadth of material that cannot be replicated by a company working purely from third-party supply.
Margraf's collaborations demonstrate the range of disciplines the brand engages with. De Castelli collaborated with Margraf on Between Nature, a collection of sculptural coffee and side tables combining Ipogeo marble with De Castelli's metalwork and brass. Moschino partnered with Margraf and architect Andrea Tognon for the stone supply and installation of their Milan boutique. Hannes Peer Architecture used Margraf during Milan Design Week for La Casa Di Marmo, an experiential installation exploring raw stone and disruptive design. MADAR joined Margraf on MIA Milano, a collaborative project blurring architecture and collectible stone design. Barausse teamed up with Margraf on Baraussesphere, a multi-material concept merging marble, wood, metal and leather for luxury wall panels and doors. Designer Raffaello Galiotto collaborates regularly with the Margraf Innovation Lab.
In practice, Margraf is relevant wherever natural stone is specified and material quality, supply reliability and craft expertise all need to be present in the same supplier. The company has a track record across residential, hospitality, cultural and civic projects at every scale, and PietraCasa works with Margraf for projects where the stone itself is the starting point of the design conversation.
