Schluter-Systems was founded in Germany in the 1960s by master tiler Werner Schluter, who developed the original Schluter-SCHIENE profile while working on a bathroom project. More than fifty years later, the company offers over 12,000 products and is the global market leader in systems for tile and stone installation.
The product range covers every stage of an installation: KERDI and KERDI-BOARD waterproofing for showers and wet areas, DITRA and DITRA-HEAT uncoupling membranes, RONDEC and JOLLY edge protection profiles, DILEX movement joint systems, and BARA drainage systems. In the UK, products are listed on NBS Source with BIM objects available, and dedicated Specification Consultants support RIBA Plan of Work phases 2 to 5.

Waterproofing
KERDI waterproofing membrane and KERDI-BOARD tileable waterproof backerboard are the Schluter solutions for showers, wet rooms, shower benches and vanity units. Both are NHBC compliant and approved as bonded waterproofing systems.
Profiles
Schluter profiles in stainless steel, aluminium and brass cover tile edge protection, movement joints, stair nosings, wall shelf profiles, illuminated niches and shower channels. QUADEC, RONDEC and JOLLY are the most widely specified.
Outdoor and Drainage
TROVA-LEVEL height-adjustable pedestal supports for loose external paving work alongside Schluter drainage systems for outdoor terraces and pool surrounds. External profiles are produced in stainless steel and tested for outdoor conditions.
Uncoupling and Heating
DITRA uncoupling membrane separates the tile assembly from the substrate, managing differential movement and preventing cracking. DITRA-HEAT integrates electric underfloor heating into the same system without additional build-up height.
