Did you know?
Yukari takes its name from the Japanese word 縁 (Yukari), meaning a connection that transcends time and distance. The brand brings together centuries of Japanese ceramic tradition with contemporary Italian design, creating a distinctive dialogue between craftsmanship and architecture.
Rooted in Tajimi, Japan, a region renowned for its ceramic heritage, Yukari celebrates the natural qualities of clay, water and fire. Its production combines traditional artisanal techniques with a refined approach to colour, texture and form. Clay is carefully shaped, naturally dried and hand-glazed, with firing processes that can last up to 48 hours, allowing each surface to develop its individual character.
The collaboration extends beyond design. Japanese production is coordinated by the Hirata Tile group through a network of specialist manufacturers, while creative direction and visual identity are developed in Italy by Massimo Nadalini Studio. This exchange of expertise brings traditional Japanese ceramics into contemporary architectural settings.
For architects and interior designers, Yukari offers an expressive selection of ceramic surfaces, from understated natural textures to distinctive glazes and geometric compositions. Each collection explores the relationship between material, light and space, bringing depth and individuality to contemporary interiors.
