Originally founded in the 1950s, the brand established its legacy through first-generation partnerships with masters like Sottsass, Mendini, Castiglioni, Enzo Mari, and Marco Zanuso. Relaunched in 2016 under the Florim Group, the collection now spans modern large-format slabs up to 120x240cm, featuring celebrated works like the Red Dot Award-winning Rilievi collection by Zaven and Storie by Zanellato/Bortotto, alongside masterfully engineered series by Studio Formafantasma, Federico Pepe, and BRH+.

Cromatica
A vibrant exploration of color theory and mathematical progressions across glazed ceramic surfaces.
Designed in collaboration with Studio Formafantasma, this collection investigates the sensitive, shifting nature of color. The tiles offer an intricate palette of light-reflective shades that can be mixed and matched to generate custom chromatic gradients across interior walls.
Storie
Poetic, weathered surface designs capturing the evocative patina of historical Italian architecture.
Designed by Giorgia Zanellato and Daniele Bortotto, Storie replicates the fading beauty of aged frescoes and industrial walls. The large panels create a nostalgic, deeply textured back-drop for sophisticated modern living zones.
Segnature
A sophisticated study of linear geometry, mineral reflections, and abstract structural lines.
Curated by Studio Formafantasma, Segnature references rare mineral formations and architectural outlines. These minimal, highly refined porcelain sheets allow designers to establish quiet, sophisticated visual languages across expansive luxury environments.
Chimera
An artistic, highly tactile surface series utilizing hyper-detailed textures and micro-reliefs.
Created by Elena Salmistraro, Chimera uses advanced print technology to emulate organic skins, technical fabrics, and embroidery. These decorative slabs provide deep tactile engagement for luxury wall paneling and avant-garde commercial spaces.

CEDIT's founding model, established in the 1950s and restored at the 2016 relaunch, is to produce ceramics through sustained creative collaboration with designers who bring a genuine point of view to the material. Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni contributed the 1968 Lapis ceramic vase, re-edited in the current collection. Ettore Sottsass, Enzo Mari, Alessandro Mendini and Marco Zanuso are part of the brand's historical foundation.
The current generation of collaborators is equally serious. Studio Formafantasma's Cromatica explores colour as a spatial material. Martino Gamper investigates how architectural surfaces can be assembled from salvaged elements. Giorgio Griffa treats the slab as a canvas. Zanellato/Bortotto's Storie series won the Red Dot Award. Zaven's Rilievi collection introduces three-dimensional dynamic compositions to vertical surfaces. Each collection carries a specific design intelligence that rewards close attention.
In practice, CEDIT works best when design intent is already established and the material is expected to carry the design intention of the space. These are not background surfaces. For projects working with Cassina, Hay or Established and Sons, where the material selection is as deliberate as the furniture, there is very little in the ceramic market that achieves the same quality of creative outcome.
