Living Ceramics

Ceramic surfaces.
Design-led thinking.

Contemporary ceramic surfaces and technical stone from Castellon, Spain, developed from a strong design perspective.

A newcomer to the industry, Living Ceramics was founded in 2013 in Castellon, Spain. They approach the ceramics industry from a strong design perspective, which closely aligns with PietraCasa’s ethos.

Their focus on tones and textures allow details in a project to dominate. Particularly impressive are their Ductile reliefs, which give the impression of being crafted and carved from natural materials yet retain the robustness of ceramic material.

Along with their ceramic and porcelain collections, Living Ceramics also have their Lithotech brand, which is focussed on 12mm material. This completes their offering enabling harmonious design across a project.

Designed for every surface

Kitchen

Lithotech 12mm surfaces are designed for kitchen worktops and horizontal applications. Non-porous, heat-resistant and compatible with integrated sinks, they bring the same material language as the Living Ceramics floor and wall collections into the kitchen in a format suited to worktop fabrication.

Coordinated collections across Living Ceramics and Lithotech allow kitchens to be resolved in a single material from floor to wall to worktop surface.

Furniture

Lithotech surfaces are suited to horizontal furniture applications including tables, shelving and cabinet tops. The collection's material depth and precision of finish means it works well in furniture contexts where surfaces are seen and touched at close range.

PietraCasa can advise architects, interior designers and fabricators on the right Living Ceramics and Lithotech combination for furniture applications in your project.

Surfaces

Living Ceramics produce surfaces in formats up to 120x270cm and 20mm thickness for outdoor applications. Collections in natural stone and microcement effects carry the same design language from interior to exterior, maintaining visual consistency across a project.

The Ductile wall tile range is also available in outdoor formats, allowing the characteristic tactile quality of the surface to be used in sheltered external environments.

Bathroom

Large-format Living Ceramics surfaces allow bathroom floors and walls to be covered with minimal joints and strong material continuity. The Bathroom Furniture Series extends this further with ceramic washbasins and vanity units in coordinated collections, complemented by natural oak furniture.

Slip-resistant finishes are available across the range, and Lithotech 12mm can be used for vanity tops in the same collection as the wall tiles.

Did you know?

Living Ceramics was founded in Castellon in 2013 and has built its collection through sustained collaboration with designers who bring a specific material intelligence to each project. The Bisel collection was designed by Victor Carrasco and won the iF Design Award 2022, one of the most recognised product design awards internationally. LucidiPevere, the Milan-based studio of Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere, developed the Cava and Cava Mosaic collections, working with geometric precision and a considered use of colour to produce surfaces with strong architectural presence.

Exhibition partnerships have also shaped how Living Ceramics presents itself to the design community. At Fuorisalone 2023, the brand collaborated with Agape, Living Divani, Flos and Cea to create installation environments that showed their ceramic surfaces within a fully resolved interior design context. At Milan Design Week 2025, Living Ceramics and Lithotech presented Ch. 02 The Mind inside Palazzo Bocconi, an installation built from sand, dim lighting and ceramic sculptural blocks from the new Gubi and Oda collections, designed to be felt and explored rather than simply viewed. CeramicLab has been a partner in developing the handcrafted Cuit Lab and Verso Lab collections, which sit alongside the main range as a more artisanal expression of the brand's material thinking. Lithotech, the associated technical stone brand, is regularly presented alongside Living Ceramics at major trade events including Cersaie and KBIS.

Living Ceramics surfaces work particularly well in projects where design intent is established and the material is expected to contribute to the overall aesthetic rather than simply cover the floor. Their focus on tonal sensitivity, surface texture and the relationship between what is seen and what is felt makes them well suited to architects and interior designers working with a considered, design-led material palette.
