Iris Ceramica

Surfaces that go one step further.

Supplied in the UK by PietraCasa.
A group of specialist brands, each a reference point in their own field of ceramic and architectural surface design.

Iris Ceramica Group incorporates brands that are each industry leaders in their own right – Ariostea, Iris, Fiandre, FMG, SapienStone and Porcelaingres.

This strong and broad portfolio allows the group to provide everything for a project.

What really sets the group apart is their production of not only large format slabs, but also their incredibly detailed and convincing finishes, increasingly indistinguishable from the natural equivalent. This is particularly true for their precious stone collections.

This innovation has also followed through to their truly full-bodied material that can be treated the way you would stone, which opens up exciting possibilities.

Designed for every surface

Kitchen

Large-format slabs at 12mm and 20mm thicknesses are available across the group for kitchen worktops and island surfaces. Full-body technology means the veining and pattern run through the entire thickness of the material, so cut edges and profiled details read as consistently as the face.

This resolves one of the long-standing limitations of porcelain worktops and makes the group's surfaces particularly relevant for kitchen designs where exposed edges are part of the brief.

Furniture

Thin-format slabs allow surfaces to be applied to cabinetry, shelving and bespoke furniture pieces. The full-body material means cuts and edges remain consistent with the face, making these surfaces well suited to furniture where detailing is visible.

PietraCasa can advise architects, design studios and fabricators on the right format and finish from across the Iris Ceramica Group portfolio for furniture applications.

Surfaces

Ventilated facade systems and large-format maxi-slabs extend the group's material language from interior to exterior. Active Surfaces facades have been installed on significant architectural projects, offering surfaces that actively improve air quality in their surrounding environment.

The breadth of the group means a single material approach can be carried from worktop to wall to facade within the same project.

Bathroom

Large-format slabs up to 3000×1500mm allow floors and walls to be resolved as a single continuous surface, with minimal joints and strong visual continuity. Active Surfaces technology makes selected surfaces antibacterial and self-cleaning, which is particularly useful in wet environments.

Coordinated floor and wall formats across the group's collections allow bathrooms to be specified in a single material language throughout.

Did you know?

One of the most significant things Iris Ceramica Group has done is build genuine design collaboration into the fabric of how they develop product. The long-running partnership with Diesel Living, which began in 2016, brought fashion and pop culture references into ceramic surface design in a way that had not been done before. Collections including Reloaded, Stage, Grunge Concrete and Arizona Concrete came out of that relationship. In 2026, the collaboration produced Dys Distressed Rug and Acid Majolica, showcased at Milan Design Week, demonstrating that this is an active and evolving creative partnership rather than a one-off.

The group's technical collaborations are equally serious. Alchimia, developed with technology company VBH, integrates video, sound and touch controls directly into ceramic surfaces, making them interactive architectural elements. Active Surfaces, the group's photocatalytic technology developed with TOTO, makes ceramic surfaces antibacterial, antiviral and self-cleaning through the action of natural or artificial light. The ICG Renaisscience Hub, a research partnership with Politecnico di Milano, is focused on sustainable ceramic solutions and long-term material innovation.

These are not peripheral activities. They reflect a group that understands ceramic as a material with architectural potential far beyond its conventional applications. For architects and designers working on projects where surface performance, environmental credentials and design authorship all matter, Iris Ceramica Group offers a depth of product thinking that few manufacturers in the sector can match.
