Natural beauty.
Technical precision.

A complete collection of large-format porcelain stoneware, designed for architecture and interior design, built with Full Body technology and closed-loop sustainable production.

Official logo of FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti, premium porcelain stoneware manufacturer supplied by PietraCasa.

FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti was established in 1998 with a clear architectural mission: to replicate the exact depth, aesthetic majesty, and tactile beauty of the earth's rarest natural stones while upholding strict environmental preservation standards.

As a prominent member of the Iris Ceramica Group, the Italian manufacturer crafts highly advanced porcelain stoneware surfaces engineered to bridge the gap between large-format architectural envelopes and detailed furniture fabrication. This complete technical and aesthetic mastery is exemplified by their iconic MaxFine collection, which processes large-scale, lightweight 6mm slabs that function as a continuous, high-performance second skin for walls, floors, ventilated facades, and customized furnishings.

PietraCasa collaborates with FMG to deliver these eco-friendly, patently innovative surface systems directly to the UK design and specification sector. Their absolute dedication to deep technological research, from patent-protected Full Body³ layering to revolutionary water-based structural inks, ensures that every specified volume meets the highest standards of architectural permanence and sustainable material execution.

Precision at every scale

Large MaxFine Slabs

Slabs at 3000×1500mm and 6mm thickness, weighing just 14kg per square metre. Used for floors, walls, worktops, furniture cladding, shower trays, washbasins and lightweight facade panels. Production uses 100% natural raw materials, a closed-loop water system and clean energy with zero wastewater discharge.

New collections at Cersaie 2025 included water-based ink technology representing a further reduction in environmental impact. The water-based ink system produces the same surface quality as conventional production with significantly lower VOC emissions throughout the manufacturing process.

Traditional Porcelain Stoneware

The SELECT collection provides an extensive range of marble and stone references in traditional porcelain stoneware formats for projects where standard tile sizes are more appropriate than large-format slabs. Covers the full FMG material language in conventional formats.

SELECT coordinates with the MaxFine range across shared material references, allowing projects to combine traditional tile formats in some areas with large-format slabs in others while maintaining complete visual consistency throughout.

Outdoor and Facades

FMG MaxFine slabs are resistant to frost, UV rays, temperature changes, rain and chemical agents, making them suited to external flooring, terraces, walkways and ventilated facade panels. The Granitech ventilated facade system uses MaxFine slabs in 300x150cm and 300x100cm formats at 6mm thickness, glued and pre-assembled in the factory before being hung on site with minimal joints.

Active Surfaces facades reduce air pollutants and self-clean through rainwater and light exposure, lowering maintenance requirements on urban buildings. Coordinated with the interior MaxFine range, the same material can carry from inside to outside without any visual break.

Full Body³

Full Body cubed technology runs pattern and colour through the entire thickness of the slab. Profiled edges, mitred corners and cut details carry the same aesthetic as the face surface, opening up applications in furniture, joinery and architectural detailing. Active Surfaces technology is available across selected Full Body collections.

The Hypertouch system integrates capacitive touch technology into the ceramic surface, allowing light and temperature control through the wall. The Design Your Slabs service allows architects and designers to print custom illustrations, logos or photographic artwork directly onto large-format ceramic slabs.

Did you know?

FMG approaches natural stone replication as a scientific discipline. The MaxFine slab at 300x150cm and 6mm produces a surface with the aesthetic quality of the finest natural stone and none of its practical limitations. Full Body cubed technology resolves the edge limitation that prevented earlier large-format ceramics from being used in worktop profiles, furniture fronts and architectural detailing where the edge of the material is visible.

FMG's collaborations through Iris Ceramica Group place the brand within a broader design culture. Diesel Living's ongoing partnership produced experimental urban-aesthetic surfaces including the Reloaded, Stage and Grunge Concrete collections, showcased at Milan Design Week 2026 with the new Dys Distressed Rug and Acid Majolica. Flagship stores and showrooms for Giorgio Armani, Christian Dior and Ferrari have used FMG premium porcelain surfaces. The Design Your Slabs service allows architects and designers to print custom illustrations, corporate logos or photographic artwork directly onto large-format ceramic slabs.

In practice, FMG MaxFine surfaces sit naturally alongside high-specification architectural and interior projects. The Marmi collections, referencing Calacatta and Statuario marble, work well alongside kitchen systems from Poliform and Minotti, bathroom furniture from Antonio Lupi, and hospitality projects where material quality and surface consistency are non-negotiable.
