A member of Panariagroup, producing porcelain stoneware in Fiorano Modenese since 1975, including the Slimtech ultra-thin laminated slab range.
Lea Ceramiche was founded in 1975 in Fiorano Modenese. As part of Panariagroup, the brand has built its reputation on a core principle: ceramic is not just a surface material but a piece of furniture capable of giving character to an environment.
The Slimtech range produces ultra-thin laminated stoneware slabs at 3.5mm, 5.5mm and 6mm, in formats up to 1200×2600mm. Carbon neutral production and under 10kg per square metre make Slimtech practical for renovation projects, where the slab can be installed over existing surfaces without removal, and for facade applications where weight is a structural consideration.
Lea Ceramiche collections have been specified on significant architectural projects including Zaha Hadid's 520 West 28th in New York, the Lamborghini Protoshop facility clad with Slimtech, and the Autodrom Modena racetrack building.
Designed for every surface
Kitchen
Slimtech 3.5mm slabs can be applied over existing kitchen surfaces without removal, making Lea Ceramiche practical for renovation. At 6mm, Slimtech is used for kitchen furniture cladding, splashbacks and worktop surfaces.
Furniture
Slimtech is used for furniture cladding, table tops, door panels and shelving. The low weight, thin profile and large format make it one of the most practical materials for furniture applications currently available in ceramic.
Surfaces
Slimtech has been used for ventilated facade cladding on the Lamborghini Protoshop and Autodrom Modena. Low weight, carbon neutral production and LEED certification make Slimtech relevant where environmental credentials are part of the project brief.
Bathroom
Ultra-thin Slimtech slabs allow bathroom renovation without demolition. Existing floor and wall tiles can be covered directly, reducing project time and cost.

Did you know?
Lea Ceramiche's founding principle shapes how the brand develops its collections. Rather than producing surfaces that cover floors and walls, the brand produces surfaces that define spaces. The Slimtech range is the most technically precise expression of this: an ultra-thin, carbon neutral ceramic slab that can be applied almost anywhere at a scale that changes what is possible with ceramic in architecture.
The architectural project record is substantial. Zaha Hadid's 520 West 28th used Lea Ceramiche surfaces for the material qualities they brought to a complex architectural interior. The Lamborghini Protoshop chose Slimtech for a Class A industrial building facade where low weight, design quality and environmental certification were the deciding factors. The Sanwa Company kitchen block, covered entirely in Slimtech and displayed at La Rinascente Milan, demonstrated what is possible when ceramic is treated as a complete furniture covering. The American Dream retail development won the 2022 Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition Commercial Category.
In practice, Lea Ceramiche is relevant for renovation projects where demolition-free installation is a practical requirement, or for design-led projects where the quality and character of the ceramic collection is as important as its technical specification. PietraCasa supplies Lea Ceramiche with the knowledge to advise on which collection and format is most appropriate for each application.
