Antolini and Bang and Olufsen Return to Milan Design Week 2026 with Beosound Haven
A year after the Beosound Balance Natura stopped conversations at Milan Design Week 2025, Bang and Olufsen and Antolini returned to the city with something more ambitious. The collaboration made its public return at Milan Design Week 2026, hosted at the Antolini MilanoDuomo Stoneroom in Piazza Fontana. The partnership is built around the premise that sound and material like stone can be designed together, and yet they rarely are.
The Installation: A Garden in the City
Visitors were invited, through a symbolic threshold, to leave behind the chaotic sounds of the city and immerse themselves in a contemporary reinterpretation of a garden, a flourishing space where green elements enveloped the room and guided visitors toward the core of the exposition: a reflective water table with droplets creating rippling waves, where sound became the focal point, drawing attention and inviting exploration.
The outcome is a material composition where acoustic performance and design coexist seamlessly, illustrating how sound, design and materiality work together to shape the perception of space. This approach reflects Antolini's design philosophy, extending its expertise beyond interiors into outdoor environments, where natural stone plays a central role in defining atmosphere, texture and emotional depth.
Beosound Haven: Sound Meets the Outdoors
At the heart of the installation was the preview of Beosound Haven, Bang and Olufsen's forthcoming landscape speaker. Through Bang and Olufsen's Atelier programme, aluminium, the brand's signature material, is sculpted into Beosound Haven's distinctive sphere form and paired with Antolini's natural stone, illustrating how sound, materials and design can be considered from the earliest stages of spatial planning to create layered, immersive outdoor experiences.

Beolab 18 Reinterpreted
Alongside the outdoor installation, the collaboration extends into a refined material exploration of Bang and Olufsen's iconic Beolab 18 speakers, reinterpreted through Antolini's natural stones in Matt finish, including Amazonite, Retro Black Petrified Wood, Patagonia Original, Dalmata, Cipollino GreyWave and Taj Mahal. Produced in a limited series, each piece is uniquely defined by the character of the stone selected.

Carlo Alberto Antolini
"In collaboration with Bang and Olufsen, we have moved beyond traditional design to embrace the open air. By blending the raw elegance of natural stone with precision sound, we have created a bridge between nature and technology. These landscape speakers are not just objects. They are a dialogue between the elements, transforming gardens and terraces into living galleries where history and avant-garde meet to host your most meaningful moments."
