Antolini Natural Stone: Where Geological Rarity Meets Design Innovation

There are surface materials that perform well. There are surface materials that look extraordinary. Antolini natural stone does both, and has done so since 1956. What sets Antolini apart from every other natural stone supplier is not simply the breadth of its collection. It is the combination of geological curation, proprietary protective technology and a design philosophy that treats each slab as an unrepeatable natural work of art.

At PietraCasa, we supply Antolini natural stone for residential and commercial projects across Dorset, the South Coast and throughout the UK.

Who is Antolini?

Founded in 1956 and headquartered in Verona, Italy, Antolini is a historic company known as a major player in the natural stone manufacturing industry, led by the Antolini family across generations. The company is present in 182 countries, with main production centres in Italy and Brazil, as well as showrooms distributed worldwide.

With more than 1,300 materials selected from quarries all over the world, Antolini offers exclusive collections of marble, granite, onyx, quartzite, travertine and semi-precious stones, transforming each slab into a natural work of art.

In the international landscape of natural stone surfaces, Antolini is a point of reference for architects, interior designers and stone industry professionals. The company has built its identity on innovation applied to marble, quartzite, onyx and dolomite, with the goal of transforming natural stone into a contemporary, high-performance surface without compromising authenticity and material value.

The Collection

Exclusive collection

The Exclusive Collection represents the highest tier of Antolini's offer. It presents a wide selection of the world's most unique and exclusive natural stones, each with its distinctive character. These are stones selected for their geological rarity, their veining depth and their visual presence. No two slabs are alike. Each one is, in the truest sense, a one-of-a-kind surface.

The Exclusive Collection includes onyx and crystals whose translucency opens up possibilities for backlit applications, transforming a surface into a perceptual device that changes character depending on the light and viewpoint. For feature walls, reception desks, bespoke bathroom panels and statement kitchen islands, this quality of material is without parallel.

Natural stone collection

The Natural Stone Collection presents the authentic magnificence of natural stones for interior and exterior solutions, combining unparalleled elegance with genuine material performance. This collection covers the full range of marble, quartzite, travertine, granite and limestone, selected and processed to Antolini's exacting standards.

Among the standout materials are Amazonite, characterised by natural shades ranging from turquoise to emerald green with hints of neutral and warm tones, belonging geologically to the quartzite family. Irish Green is a marble of geologically ancient origin, used to decorate Renaissance palaces, with hues ranging from light to dark green and distinctive veining that makes it equally appropriate in contemporary settings with exclusive design.

Couture collection

The Couture Collection surfaces range, created by designer Alessandro La Spada for Antolini, combines the brand's signature stone with other materials in geometric patterns. Among the 12 available patterns are floral Ginko and linear Net, which combine natural stone with metallic inlays, pushing the definition of what a stone surface can be.

The technology: Protection without compromise

The most common objection to specifying natural stone for demanding environments such as kitchens and bathrooms is maintenance. Antolini has addressed this directly through a suite of proprietary treatments that transform the technical performance of its stones without altering their appearance.

Azerocare and Azerocareplus

Without sacrificing or affecting the colours and characteristics of natural stone, Antolini's Azerocare treatment is the first of its kind to offer polished marbles, onyxes and soft quartzites full protection from etching and staining caused by contact with acid-based food elements. Azerocare also provides water-repellent and oil-repellent protection from staining and etching caused by oil, fat and greasy elements.

Azerocare is not a sealer. It is a proprietary treatment engineered at the Antolini factory prior to shipping. It cannot be retroactively applied to slabs already for sale or installed. This factory-applied process means the protection is integral to the stone itself, not a surface coating that degrades over time.

Azerocareplus represents the evolution and development of the original Azerocare process. It is a high-tech treatment tested in 24-hour cycles, providing marble, onyx and soft quartzite with protection against stains and corrosion caused by contact with acidic substances, and is anti-corrosive, stain-proof, permanent, hygienic, ecological and ideal for contact with foods.

Azerocare enhances the stone's durability by 50%, offering water-repellent and oil-repellent properties while preserving its natural colours and characteristics. Protection is permanent, with no follow-up treatments required. It is resistant to UV rays and safe for the environment.

Azerobact plus

Azerobact Plus is the treatment developed by Antolini to create an antibacterial barrier on the surface of natural stone, capable of inhibiting bacterial proliferation. The treatment complies with international standards and preserves the aesthetic qualities of marble, quartzite and onyx.

For kitchens, bathrooms and wellness spaces, this antibacterial protection is a significant specification advantage. Azerobact Plus inhibits bacterial growth on natural stone surfaces, enhancing hygiene while preserving the natural look and feel of the stone.

Avaccumprocess

Avacuumprocess is an exclusive vacuum impregnation process for natural stone slabs. Thanks to high-performance resins developed specifically for Antolini, this technology reinforces stone from the inside out, significantly enhancing durability and making even naturally delicate stones suitable for demanding architectural applications. Avacuumprocess expands design possibilities, making even naturally fragile stones usable in complex architectural contexts.

Were Antolini natural stone is specified

Antolini surfaces are designed to elevate both residential and commercial spaces through unmatched performance and design versatility. Their extensive catalogue includes marble, granite, quartzite, limestone, travertine, onyx and soapstone, each material chosen for its unique veining and visual depth. These materials are ideal for countertops, walls, flooring and outdoor applications, bringing character and resilience to any setting.

Kitchen Worktops and Islands

With Azerocare protection applied at the factory, marble kitchen worktops become technically viable in ways they previously were not. The stone retains its extraordinary visual depth and natural veining while resisting the acids, oils and everyday substances that historically made marble a challenging kitchen material.

Bathrooms and Wet Rooms

Large format marble and quartzite slabs bring a quality to bathroom design that no engineered material can replicate. The natural variation across each slab creates a surface that is genuinely unique to the project it is installed in. With Azerobact Plus protection, these surfaces also meet the hygiene standards required for wet room environments.

Feature Walls and Architectural Cladding

The Exclusive Collection's most dramatic stones, including backlit onyx and translucent quartzites, are specified for architectural feature walls, reception areas, lift lobbies and hospitality interiors where the material is the defining design gesture.

Luxury Hospitality and Commercial Projects

Antolini's consultative role with architects and designers on high-profile residential, contract and retail projects is central to how the brand operates. Having the opportunity to see and touch an extensive selection of natural stones is a critical part of the selection process for complex projects.
