Antolini and Bang and Olufsen: When Natural Stone Meets Precision Sound
Some design collaborations are logical. A furniture brand works with a fabric house. A lighting manufacturer partners with an architect. The outcome is predictable before the product arrives.
The collaboration between Antolini and Bang and Olufsen is not that kind of partnership. On the surface, a 70-year-old Italian natural stone company and a century-old Danish audio brand have no obvious reason to exist in the same design conversation. Look closer, and the connection becomes inevitable. Both brands are obsessed with material. Both are deeply committed to the idea that an object should not only perform but move you. The collaboration was, in retrospect, always going to happen.
At PietraCasa, we supply Antolini natural stone for residential and commercial projects across the South Coast and UK. The Bang and Olufsen partnership matters to us because it demonstrates, at the highest level of luxury design, precisely what Antolini stone is capable of.
The Beosound Balance Natura
As part of Bang and Olufsen's Atelier Bespoke offering, the partnership celebrates the shared commitment to innovation, artistry and craftsmanship that defines both brands, seamlessly blending acoustic excellence with timeless design.
At Milan Design Week 2025, Bang and Olufsen unveiled the Beosound Balance Natura, a luxurious new take on its iconic Beosound Balance speaker carved from natural stone. Created in collaboration with Antolini, this limited-edition release reimagines home audio as sculptural art, anchored by a striking stone plinth. The Natura model rests on a meticulously carved base made from Antolini's Exclusive and Precioustone Collections, featuring exquisite natural materials such as Cristallo Iceberg, Cristallo Vitrum "Wow" and petrified wood in rich, earthy tones.
The Stone Plinth: Aesthetic and Acoustic
The engineering rationale behind the stone plinth goes beyond aesthetics. Beyond its visual appeal, the plinth is engineered to enhance acoustic performance, minimising vibrations and allowing sound to flow naturally throughout the space. A precision-matched anodised aluminium ring seamlessly transitions from the base to the speaker, striking a balance between raw materiality and refined technology.
The collaboration between Bang and Olufsen and Antolini was about celebrating the commitment to innovation and craftsmanship shared by both brands, combining each of their material strengths, aluminium and stone respectively, into one harmonious object.

The Stones
The Beosound Balance Natura is available in a range of Antolini's Exclusive Collection stones, including the glacier-like Cristallo Vitrum "Wow" and pink-hued Cristallo Rosa "Wow". It is also available in some of Antolini's unusual petrified woods.
Additionally, a Beovision Theatre 55-inch TV and a pair of Beolab 28 speakers customised in Antolini's Amazonite quartzite complete the series. The vibrant stone base creates a striking aesthetic that complements Bang and Olufsen's signature neutral colour palette. Products from the collection are made to order.
Only 16 made-to-order units of the Beosound Balance Natura were produced. Each is uniquely defined by the character of the stone selected, making every piece genuinely unrepeatable.
Carlo Alberto Antolini
Antolini Owner Carlo Alberto Antolini described the collaboration as "a dialogue between aesthetics and performance, between nature and technology, between history and avant-garde. Together with Bang and Olufsen, we turned precious materials into unique sensory experiences."
